Drinking coffee is a joy. Making coffee is an art.

I consider myself a serious coffee drinker and I can admit that I’m ristrettoholic. Ristretto is a short shot of espresso coffee made with the normal amount of ground coffee but extracted with about half the amount of water.

I like my coffee strong, short, without any milk and sugar. Good things always come in small packages (cups).

Recently I’ve spent a few days in Berlin (a true cultural, historical and artistic hub of Europe) and I had wonderful coffee experience.

There are a lot of great places to drink coffee in Berlin. Actually so many that in 5 days I missed a few important ones (like No Fire No Glory, Café CK, westberlin, Five Elephant, Double Eye, Godshot, Oslo Kaffeebar …).

This is a snapshot guide to some – but by no means all – of the top cafes around Berlin. Just to make sure you’ll get a good espresso wherever you are.

Happy sippin’…

Please be advised that this guide is for those who like their coffee strong, short and without milk and sugar. If you prefer Lungo, Caffè Latte, Cappuccino and all that girlish type of coffee I must warn you that this guide maybe is not for you.
